1. What is NEET (National Entrance cum Eligibility Test)?

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) (or NEET (UG), formerly the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study undergraduate medical courses (MBBS) and dental courses (BDS) in government or private medical and dental colleges in India.

2. Who conducts the NEET exam?

The undergraduate NEET (UG), for MBBS and BDS courses, is currently conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Prior to 2019, the test was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in partnership with Prometric Testing Pvt Ltd headquartered in the US.

3. Is the exam offline or online?

It is an offline test.

4. What is the examination date for NEET 2021?

The date is mostly fixed as first Sunday in the month of May, however it is always advisable to look out for updates and notifications on the official website: ntaneet.nic.in

5. What is the syllabus for NEET 2021?

The prescribed syllabus is NCERT textbooks of 11th and 12th standard, of the subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

6. What is the paper pattern of NEET?

The NEET Question paper consists of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.

7. What is the marking scheme in NEET?

Every correct answer is given 4 marks, every incorrect answer is given -1 (negative) mark.

8. What is the duration of NEET?

It’s a 3- hour test.

9. How to fill up ‘online’ application form for NEET 2021?

Application form for NEET can be submitted only online through official website: ntaneet.nic.in

10. If any candidate faces problem in filling up of form, to whom can he approach?

Candidate can take the assistance of Facilitation Centres for submission of application form during working hours.

11. Where and how to proceed after NEET exam?

Candidate can proceed with the counselling rounds stated as per the NTA.
